The Area

The Cottage is within an easy level stroll of Arnside Promenade, Shopping and dining facilities, and are an ideal base for walking and bird watching. Arnside Knott, R.S.P.B. reserve at Leighton Moss, Carmel Peninsular and the Southern Lakes are all just a short drive away.

Those of us who are fortunate enough to live here think that Arnside has its own "special magic". The limestone pavement, mixed woodlands, numerous coastland walks are nearby. The RSPB reserve of Leighton Moss, with its elusive bitterns, is only a few miles away and there are also excellent opportunities for fishing, horse riding, cycling and golf.

We are ideally situated for the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Lancaster, Kendal and Morecambe, with the Lake District National Park, the historic city of Lancaster and Morecambe Bay all only a short journey away, there is always plenty to see and do whilst staying at the Saltcotes Hall Holiday Cottages.
